Your X-Seam is a
measurement used to place the pedals in the correct location with
respect to the seat. To determine your X-Seam, wear your
normal cycling shoes. Then sit flat on the floor with your
lower back/tailbone against the wall and your legs flat on the
floor. With the soles of your shoes perpendicular to the
floor, measure the distance from the wall to the soles of your
shoes. See Figure 1. You may find this easier to do
with the help of a friend. If this is too uncomfortable for
you, you may use a book between lower back/tailbone and the
wall. Then subtract the thickness of the book from your
measurement. See Figure 2.
We
will use this measurement to set the telescopic boom length
initially. During your delivery ride, this adjustment will be
fine tuned as necessary to obtain the most optimum comfort for you.
