Modern women have become increasingly noncommittal as they find it nothing short of compromising. Finding a date is often becoming a Herculean task for women of the contemporary era as they find it almost impossible to find a mate with an equally dynamic profile. However it is interesting to note that men do not seem to have such qualms, though they may admit that women have become extremely choosy these days. Men and lack of commitment used to go hand in hand in the past, now there has been a change of guard as women have taken up their slots! These days it's not uncommon to find many highly eligible, healthy, handsome and rich men on the scramble for a serious relationship. Men opine that women have become more career oriented who prefer a non obligatory casual fling rather than a sound relationship with a commitment tag. Women have found freedom and security in being independent career women and do not like to compromise these factors; and are often startled by monogamy. It is intriguing to note that women show haste to slither away from an affair if it gets too intense. This is spawning a new social problem as many men find it difficult to find mates though they have all the requisite traits of an ideal husband. Women have set themselves free in the last decade or so by making huge strides in career and academics and their domain has turned global. A career promises the security and freedom that she could not even imagine a few years ago. They prefer to keep marriage and motherhood on back-burners and give focus to their career advancement. They started enjoying a sexual liberty where they call the shots; this sexually aggressive behavior has set an alarm in men as it was once their monopoly. Marriage has become a low priority section for most women as they feel that they will be pushed against the wall by unjustifiable compromises just like their mothers and grand mothers. Women are getting married only in their thirties these days as career comes first. Not many women are willing to upset their apple cart for the sake of a relationship. Woman has become selective in picking up a partner as she wants to make sure that he may not be a nasty intruder in her happy world. Whilst men are fighting a losing battle in their attempt to keep their loved ones in tow, women surges ahead with her bright future and a big plan to build a secure and happy life. Men have no choice but to raise up to her expectations. It's a case of do or die situation. Many women will not make a compromise on their career for a relationship and men are slowly coming in terms with the fact they are not the primary money earner any longer and the coming days might see him stay at home and caring for the children. As women became independent they became equally finicky in choosing their mate. If the man gets it right he is in or else he is shipped out. Women are looking for partners who would complement their lives instead of controlling them. Children holds the key in this changing equation as however successful woman might be, her biological functions and responsibilities will not change a wee bit. Many women prefer not to have children at all or to postpone it till they are thirty. There are dime a dozen options for women other than a relationship, which may or may not work out, while men are fighting to retain their space. What if men are swapped by fertility shots- they will be in the middle of nowhere!
