After all the technical information you have, your budget influences your buying decisions. So, consider how much you can spend and what features you can expect in your bike that falls in that price band. Have a look at the following price range:

  • $500 to $900: You can get a basic hardtail mountain bike that will provide you occasional thrills of moderate terrain (26 or 29 inches as per your preferences)
  • $900 to $1,500: This price band will get you a good hardtail mountain bike equipped with a lightweight frame and premium components to regularly ride through numerous terrains.
  • $1,500 to $2,500: You can expect an entry-level hardtail bike for speed racing or entry-level full-suspension bike.
  • $2,500 and up: You can expect a perfect hardtail bike for speed racing or best-quality  full-suspension mountain bike.

Buying tip: Sometimes, riders end up spending more money by buying low quality bike and then opting to upgrade or buy another high-quality  mountain bike. So, consider buying a good-quality  mountain bike now and avoid the need to upgrade entry-level bikes.
